I've been making flashcards for nearly a decade now. After years of painstakingly writing on index cards that I'd eventually lose, I decided to make my own flashcard generation program, inspired by Markdown. You're welcome to check it out. It's called Flashup and is hosted on GitHub.
My flashcards for Programming in Scala, (Odersky, Spoon, and Venners, first edition) were among the last I made before Flashup. With the help of Felice Ford they were rewritten, and with the permission of Bill Venners and Artima I can now share them with all the Scalarazzi.
You can find the cards here.
Please inform me of errors in the cards so I can correct them. Unfortunately, since they were transcribed from handwritten cards the relative order within each chapter is lost.
